A very popular S&S design from the post World War II era, WILD SWAN was completely rebuilt and has been extremely well maintained by her owners of 25 years. These were very competitive boat in their day and I am sure she is still a threat on the Classic race course, but sitting aboard her last weekend, I couldn’t help notice how comfortable the cockpit was for sailing and socializing. The deep seats with high combings at a comfortable angle were a nice change from the shallow, deck level seats typical of many of the boats from this era. If you are in the market for a comfortable cruising classic with a good turn of speed for classic racing, come take a look at WILD SWAN. She is worth the trip.

The main salon features a berth to port and a berth to starboard. Both berths are six feet six inches long. A fold down varnished table is mounted to the forward main salon bulkhead and offset to port. There are several lockers outboard of the berths, and a shelf. The galley area with the stove is aft to port with storage outboard, aft, and under. The galley sink is inboard of the stove to port. Opposite to starboard is the ice chest and VHF. The ice box is quite large, allowing room for a lot of ice as well as goods. There is storage outboard of the ice box to starboard, and storage aft to starboard under the cockpit. The cabin sole is varnished holly splined teak over plywood. The companionway steps are centered aft with non-skid treads. The ladder is hinged to fold up for access to the engine behind it. Much of it has been completely rebuilt, and all is in keeping with a fine yacht in appearance and quality.
